Shawna Symons is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a master's degree in Social Work from the University of Michigan. Shawna has a strong background of experience working with children, teens, women, and families across multiple settings. Her goal is to create a safe and comfortable space for you to process your story and gain support, flexibility, and growth. Shawna provides relational and holistic psychotherapy to support individuals through parenting struggles, perinatal mood disorders, grief and loss, life transitions, anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress, women’s issues, and interpersonal relationships. Additionally, Shawna has expertise and a clinical certification for working therapeutically with children and adolescents who have experienced trauma, medical trauma, chronic illness, foster care, and attachment difficulties. Shawna uses a variety of play therapy techniques to build a supportive attachment and bond with caregivers and children. You are not in this alone!
