Terms & Conditions: 6-Week Support Group 

 

Thank you for registering for our Support Group! This 6-week group is designed to offer encouragement, connection, and emotional support. Please read the following terms carefully. Within 72 hours one of our therapists will reach out directly with you to discuss next steps and answer any questions you may have. By registering, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

1. Group Purpose and Format

This support group provides a space for individuals to share, learn, and connect with others in a therapist-facilitated setting. While led by licensed clinicians, the group is not a substitute for individual therapy or crisis intervention.

Sessions are held in-person or virtually, depending on the group selected at registration. Group size is limited to ensure meaningful participation.

2. Attendance & Participation

  • Your registration secures your space for the full 6-week group. We encourage participants to attend all sessions for the most supportive experience.

  • Drop-ins are not allowed, and missed sessions cannot be refunded or rescheduled.

  • Please arrive on time and notify us if you expect to miss a session.

3. Confidentiality & Group Conduct

  • All group members are expected to respect the privacy of others. What is shared in the group must remain confidential.

  • While we do our best to foster a safe and supportive environment, we cannot guarantee other participants’ behavior. Any inappropriate or disruptive conduct may result in removal from the group.

  • Facilitators will uphold strict confidentiality in accordance with professional and legal standards.

4. HIPAA & Privacy Notice

As a therapy practice, we are committed to maintaining your privacy in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

  • Information shared with the facilitator during the group, intake, or in individual communication is protected under HIPAA.

  • We will never share your personal health information without your written consent, except where required by law (e.g., imminent risk of harm, suspected abuse, court order).

  • Please note: while facilitators are bound by HIPAA, other group members are not. We emphasize the importance of confidentiality but cannot enforce it outside the group setting.

  • For a full description of our privacy practices, please refer to our HIPAA Privacy Policy forms provided in intake paperwork. 

5. Payment & Refund Policy

  • Payment in full is due at the time of registration and secures your space in the 6-week series.

  • Refunds are not provided for missed sessions or scheduling conflicts.

  • Refunds may be considered only in the event of a significant crisis or emergency (e.g., medical emergency, family crisis, etc). Requests must be submitted in writing and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

  • If the group is cancelled due to low enrollment or unforeseen circumstances, a full refund will be issued.

6. Withdrawing from the Group

If you need to cancel your registration before the start of the group, please notify us at least 7 days in advance. Late cancellations are non-refundable unless due to qualifying emergencies as noted above.
