Parent-Child Wellness Workshops

Helping Kids Feel, Helping Parents Understand

Winter 2026 Series: Learn, Play, Connect- Together

At our practice, we’re excited to introduce a new and deeply enriching experience for families: Parent-Child Emotional Wellness Workshops. These unique sessions invite parents and children to explore big feelings together through story time, play, art, and guided connection—all grounded in psychodynamic, attachment, and developmental principles.

Each interactive workshop focuses on one core emotional theme and offers developmentally appropriate activities to help children name and express their feelings, while giving parents the insight and tools they need to nurture emotional resilience and connection at home.

Together, we’ll help families:

  • Understand and befriend emotions like anger, sadness, guilt, and hyperactivity

  • Create meaningful rituals for emotional regulation and connection

  • Find an emotionally healthy framework for screen time for your family

  • Build emotional literacy in both children and parents

  • Strengthen secure attachment through shared experiences

Workshops are designed for caregivers and children ages 6-11 and can be taken individually or as a full 3-part series.

A Parent-Child Workshop on Big Feelings & Safe Expression

This playful and thoughtful workshop helps kids and parents understand that anger isn’t “bad”—it’s a powerful signal that something matters. Through play, story, and creative activities, children will learn how to notice anger in their bodies and express it in safe ways.

Parents will explore how to stay calm and connected when anger shows up, learning how to be a secure base that helps their child feel seen and soothed—not shamed.

Together, families will build skills to turn outbursts into opportunities for deeper connection and emotional growth.

A Parent-Child Workshop on Emotional Growth

In this engaging workshop, children and parents will explore sadness and guilt as healthy emotions that help us connect and care. Through storytime, art, and shared activities, kids learn to express feelings safely, while parents gain tools to support emotional development without rushing to “fix” it.

Together, families will practice naming feelings, building empathy, and deepening trust.

Join us as we transform sadness from something to hide… into something that helps us heal.

Hyperactivity/ Inattention

A Parent-Child Workshop Reframing ADHD with Compassion

This creative and connection-based workshop invites parents and kids to explore hyperactivity, distraction, and “big energy” as signals of emotional overwhelm—not misbehavior.

Parents will learn a fresh, psychodynamic perspective on ADHD that moves beyond quick fixes, focusing instead on emotional understanding, regulation, and lasting connection.

Children will meet their “worry bugs” through art, storytelling, and play—learning to give words to their feelings and feel safe in their own minds and bodies.
